An image can only be draped, as you have found, on the actual surface, no the vector elements. So it you extruded that portion of the surface (ie. create a buffer around your point, use that to select the portion of the surface, and add your wind turbine height to the surface height) you could then drape your image over your new "pillar". Hope that helps. Cheers. _______________ James Burn AScT -------------------------------------------------- From: "Atelier CASSINI" Sent: Wednesday, October 07, 2009 5:08 PM To: Subject: [Manifold-l] Drap an image > Hello, > I would like to create a 3d view with a realistic windturbin image over > terrain. > i have all potential work (DTM, Surface tool, windturbin location). > i understand how to view the windturbin from a point at his real height, > but i could not drape a windturbin image to looks like more realistic than > the default manifold object. > thank yo very much for any help, > Bye > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Manifold-l mailing list > Manifold-l@lists.directionsmedia.net > http://www.directionsmedia.net/mailman/listinfo/manifold-l
