I am using XP-64 on a Core2Duo system with 4GB of ram. I love it and am in the process of upgrading our entire dept. to it. We have written off Vista for now after all of the less than stellar reports we have been reading. Windows XP 64 seems very stable (should be it is built from the Windows Server 2003 OS) and with Manifold it really improves our productivity and the software's performance with large components.

Colin et al,

My experience with Vista on a new laptop over the last 5 months is that it is awful. There is nothing in the product that justifies the loss of productive time it has imposed upon me.

I have a copy of Windows XP 64bit and have decided to rebuild my new laptop from scratch with it and wait until Vista becomes stable enough to warrant putting it back on.

Anyone any experience with XP 64bit?

regards
