[Manifold-l] Reliability of Manifold-L

I'm not entirely confident that Manifold-L is reliable in the sense that I
often don't get emails (which I have checked, by going to the directions
archive site and downloading the .tar or .gz text version of the postings).

This action is constantly required - and I know that my ISP isn't the cause
of this (by the amount of spam that does get through, including other
regular stuff from directionsmag).

My last 2 postings here (yesterday), for example, haven't appeared.

I will send them gain.

One concerned my experience with RSS (months ago at the manifold community
website).

The other was about whether one should rely on manifold to contact about new
releases and upgrades, or assume nothing is going to be done in that regard
and it's all one's own responsibility.

I'll try attaching them here (but that has failed before), prior to
re-sending. ZIP of both txt and Outlook 2003

Let's not complicate things here folk. Manifold appears to be listening.

Hopefully, Manifold is noticing that the formerly very active listserve
still does have a following. I am entirely OK distinguishing between being
expected with keeping up with patches (e.g. free upgrades) on my own and
expecting Manifold to notify me when a low cost upgrade opportunity
surfaces.

(And No, I am not a fan of the new forum either, but it would be very
reasonable to expect Manifold automatically informing their license holders
of low cost version upgrade opportunities).

My two cents!
