It doesn't seem to have been announced on this list. I presumed Manifold had
abandoned it in favour of the forum.

Subject: [Manifold-l] Manifold Release 8
Obviously I missed any announcement on this list, but Manifold release 8.00
is available now.
See www.manifold.net <http://www.manifold.net/> , and also
http://www.manifold.net/admin/8upgrade.shtml
The following may be relevant to licensees of v7.x -
Discounted Upgrade to Release 8.00:
Until 30 September 2007 licensees holding a valid Manifold System 7x license
may trade in their 7x serial number to obtain an equivalent Manifold System
8.00 serial number for a fee of $50 for each Manifold System 7x serial
number upgraded.
This is available only to 7x licensees who agree to the terms on this page.
The $50 is for a license only.
No DVD is shipped.
You can either download Release 8.00 or for an additional fee you can
purchase DVD installation media.
Note the 30 September deadline on the $US50 upgrade (I for one have paid a
high $ penalty at the last "upgrade offer" occasion, by missing the date by
dint of my obtuseness and inability to understand manifold verbiage).
