[Manifold-l] Line editing

Hello:

Trying to split a line where it intersects another.  I've dutifully used the editing tools as described but to no effect.

I earlier ran Normalize Topology, Joined Lines and have snapped line ends to the nodes of adjoining lines.  I even extended one line over the other and tried Split but I still just have one line.

Is there a trick here that I'm missing?
