[Manifold-l] Need help with layouts

I have a map I have gotten to look just the way I want it to. I need to create a 24x36 landscape PDF of it. When I put the map into a layout, all of the labeling scales down. I understand this function, but is there a way to make the layout keep the size of the labels the same relative to the other components? Thank you in advance for your insights.
