[Manifold-l] classroom lab installation

I am new to Manifold so please forgive my ignorance to what may be a 
simple question.  I work at a university and about to install Manifold 
7.x on numerous machines in our GIS computer lab.  These machines are 
brand new and have not had any previous versions of Manifold installed.  
I have two specific questions:


1) Is Manifold 6.5 required to be installed prior to installing 7.x?  
That would be strange.   I found a Manifold 7.x update zip file (~68 MB) 
but no stand-alone installation.  The online install doc 
(http://www.manifold.net/setup.html) assumes that you are upgrading from 
a 6.5 install, but then goes on to say that you must uninstall any 
previous version.


2) Has anyone tried installing on a large number of machines (> 20) at 
once?   We typically use Ghost to image all of the workstations.  This 
has worked great for us during the past few years in that lab.   Has 
anyone tried using Ghost with Manifold installed?   How would the serial 
number/activation code configuration work?
