[Manifold-l] Authentication Error?

Sigh. So, I started Manifold version 7.x this morning, and it popped a 
dialogue box about upgrading to the latest version. So, I visited 
Manifold.NET, downloaded the update, and installed it.

Now I get 'Authentication Error' when I try and start the program? WTF? Do 
I need to uninstall / reinstall? Don't want to burn an activation simply 
because an 'update' got installed incorrectly....

Any advice?
