[Manifold-l] "can't set position within a file" error upon loading .map file in V7.00

About half way through loading the components of a version 7.00 file I 
get an error message "can't set position within a file". Is there any 
recovery from this? The map file has about 2 days of scripting work 
embedded within it, though it would take me 1/4 of that to re-do it all. 
Yes, the file was backed up, but the back-up has the same problem. I've 
tried two different machines and the same error results. I have not 
encountered this error on any of the other map files since installing 
V7. I've also checked the logs for the hard drive and found no recent 
issues with reading and writing to the disk.
