[Manifold-l] Uninstall question

Has anyone experienced this problem when uninstalling Manifold 7 Build
428:

The uninstall hangs at a point where the progress bar is about 45% of
the way across the dialog.

I don't know how long that should take to complete, but I've waited six
minutes before and nothing happens. I look at the process explorer and
there is not change in memory, read/writes, etc.  I'm trying to see if
it's just doing something or is frozen.

The result seems to be  that I cannot uninstall build 428. 
I deactivate my virus scanner, I'm not hooked up to the internet while
doing this, and I'm making sure that the un-install is the only major
thing going on.

The Manifold installation is more complex (to me) than other apps, given
the licensing and so on, so I am reticent to delete files and use the
Windows Install Cleanup tool.  Before I spend a tech support incident, I
would like to know if anyone has any ideas on why the install might not
be completing.

I've got 2.0Ghz and 769 or so RAM, and 3.77GB of free disk space.
My previous Manifold versions have all installed and uninstalled
flawlessly.

Any ideas would be helpful.
