Richard, the columns available in the Transform drop-down are those
displayed so if you want to use Length (I) then make it visible in the
table. Then create your new column giving it the appropriate type and use
the Fill With transform ie [New Column] Fill With Length (I).

Subject: [Manifold-l] ADDING INTRINSIC COLUMNS TO TABLE

I was trying to add the contents of an intrinsic column (the lengths of
lines) to a drawing table.
Help says - 'To achieve faster performance we can use the Transform toolbar
to Copy an intrinsic field such as Area (I) to a new column in the table.
This requires a one-time computation.' Maybe I'm off beam here-but I
couldn't nut out how this works. The only columns visible in the transform
menu were the fields populated with other data. My solution was to make the
length column visible and export the table. Edit it and reimport it - use
relations to get the column to be a field with header 'length'.
Have I misunderstood the Transform referred to in Help? My work about is
rather tedious.
regards
Richard
