[Manifold-l] MOVING OBJECTS IN DRAWING USING SNAPS

I was editing some MapInfo data that was sent to me for checking and adding
new data.  They were lines and points of a sewer system.  In several places
their data differed slightly to my surveyed data.  I wanted to move their
nodes and points by clicking on the node and hoping to snap to my lines and
points respectively.  I couldn't get this to work with snaps turned on.
Coming from survey software one sorely misses the CAD features.
(I did think a paint brush type copy attribute tool would be a very neat way
to change the attributes of an object - it could be setup to offer what
fields to populate - don't s'pose there's one lurking around that I have
missed - ver 6.5)
Help on the snap issue is appreciated.
