[Geomedia-l] problem plotting layout

When you say large....how large?  What sheet size are you printing to and 
also, what are the specs of your machine?  You gotta remember, if I'm 
thinking right, GM will convert a layout that is transparent into an image 
first before printing since there is no such thing as "transparent 
ink"....if you are trying to print an E-size sheet with a transparent/opaque 
raster covering the entire sheet, I could see where you would have 
problems....

You said you are not even getting a printer-dialog box....makes me think 
there might be something else going on that isnt a GM issue....
