[Geomedia-l] Line of Sight Investigation

Our electrical department wants to know the height they will need to
place some telemetry equipment in order to send signals from a remote
pumping station to a repeating tower about 8 miles away.

I was attempting to use Geomedia Pro to do this.  I have generated a
line between the two points and did a spatial intersection between this
line and a 4' contour line feature class.  So now I have 381
intersection points that know their elevation and X,Y position.  Now, I
need to get the distance from the intersection point back to the start
of the line.  Is there an easy way to do this or do I need to break out
my geometry book? How do you spell Pythagorean? :-)
