Patrick,

Since you are running the most recent version of MS Access, it probably 
won't matter which template you use - but the Access2003.mdt one would 
be most appropriate.  MS Access has backward-compatibility, so it can 
read previous versions.  However, an older version generally cannot read 
the newer formats (I'm not sure if there was a format change between 
Access 2000 and Access XP).  Thus, if you had MS Access 2000, you would 
not be able to open Access2003.mdt.  The normal.mdt version is for MS 
Access 2000.
