[Geomedia-l] Question: Semi-automatic digitizing

Hello!

This is my first post, so I apologise for my questions.

So, my task is to digitize a contour-line-raster, and I
found out to speed my work by using GeoMedia Pro's raster
snap function.

I inserted the BW (bitmap) raster, and I turned on the
"Center snap" button. I got the size of the crosshair up, so
everything seemed to be ok. I hit the "insert feature" button...

The result was a little bit confusing. There was a 4 or 5
pixel wide contour-line. As I moved the cursor over the
line, the center snap sign appeared in the middle: click. I
pointed to a nearby place, and the sign also appeared, but
nothing more! I thought that GM will recognize the track of
the line between the 2 points. 

Have I missed any command? Do I have to thin the lines to
2-3 pixel?
How can I speed up my task via GM Pro?
