Are Geospatial Professionals in the Netherlands Ready for a Celebration?

Jan Willem Van Eck previews the GIN (Geo-Informatie Nederland) Congres 2009 and GeoInfoXchange, which take place next week in Utrecht, Netherlands. This is the 25th edition of this event. A lot has changed since the first time geo-professionals got together, and he wonders, "is it time to celebrate?"

With a total of 267 votes, about a third have not changed their usage of Google Maps after Google changed its data source. Another 44% are unaware of the change. Only about a quarter of respondents have changed their behavior: some using it more, some using it less, and the smallest group (5%) using it about the same amount, but are now reporting errors.
