LBS
and MMS are good friends!
Anyone
developing 3G applications has likely figured out that both LBS
& MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) are building blocks for next
generation services. It's hard not to see them fully integrated
when one looks at it from a provider point of view. Japan's operators
have had early success with MMS. Giants like NTT DoCoMo and J-Phone
(Vodafone) will no doubt carry this expertise into Europe and North
America. Folks who wish stay abreast of what's happening with MMS
have a new resource. Baskerville, a leading provider of intelligence
to the telecoms community, recently launched a monthly research
service that examines the Japanese messaging market and offers lessons-learned
for everyone in the 3G community. Get
